Why are you removing the idle diaphragm?

The way I'm thinking, if it ain't there, it can't be broke . Thanks for the help, now I can't wait till it stops raining here to get rid of all that useless crap.

i would try to find out if there's a way you can turn you your choke into a manual(or mechanical?) choke. on my 1st gen rx7 i have a choke knob i pull out when i start my car and it starts up everytime. never a doubt. the knob will pop back in when the car is completely warm but you can still drive it around with the knob out...it just idles higher. i figure a20a1 knows what i'm talking about...so maybe he can rig something up or has an idea for the accord carb. i never was good with the keihin carb...
