why would u do that? the hood looked good. Now it looks like a wanna be cf hoodie. And the grille? what happened to it. it looks sad without it and the plate is about to fall off. I remember when my DX came in that color. Always had a thing for blue and now i have a thing for purple.

maybe it needed a paint job...and well...flat black is the easiest color to paint without layers since it coats itself quite well without much experience.
i'm actually going to do the same thing to my hood in the next week or so, probably a semi-gloss black tho, if you do the stock metallic colour you need to do a clearcoat as well. i have some nasty nasty paint chipping on the front.
yeah man, in all honesty, I think the hood looked better body color and is the grille missing for improved airflow? I dunno man, I woulda kept the grille there. well the reason i did this was because my hood it self was all scratched up from ice and snow from last season.....plus the clear coat was gone...so its prep right now....i ant keepin her that way all the time i mean i might but i dunno.....it matches the under side of my hood...the owner before me left the oil cap open for a couple miles and the entire under side of the hood is oil baked on...
