good morning everyone.
my auto tranny died a week ago. it shifts from only 1st to 2nd. it was rebuilt a couple years ago. the accord is now in a car cover waiting to be fixed, since i am low on funds.
i am wondering where to get another accord auto tranny for an 87 accord lxi? or any suggestions would be wonderful.

i recomend swaping the 5 speed.
did you try tranny fluid flushing? add lucal tranny oil see if that will help any.

hmm, yea cuase if it shift's from 1st to 2nd.
there could be a possible clogged shift ball valve or something. . . . .

Well, mine is stuck in 1st while cold start. I assume 1st->2nd shift valve stuck. But after like 5 min it start working again.
Proly ur 2nt->3rd shift valve is stuck. Maybe a flush will do it. Tell the guy to use a trany cleaner 1st (they usually do, @ Honda they use BG's TDC60 damn expensive stuff) and run trany through all gears for 5..10min. When they done mine, they skipped that gear change..
How about car-part.com I see several trannies going for $200.
There is a (u pull it) in Corona right next to riverside you can get a trany for about $150.00 to 175.00 go check it out.
