Does anyone know for sure if the outside door handles are the same between the coupe and the sdan before I go try to source one at a junkyard? The passenger side handle broke on my Accord last night and I was hoping to make life alot easier since sedans are so much more plentiful; I may even be able to find a black one.

Yes they are. I just changed the drivers door handle in my 88 hatch and I got it from ebay for $14. If you cannot get the same color, I would recommend to paint it with spray paint before that you install it, in my car it looks the same. Also when I bought this car I noticed that the doors were kind of hard to be open because the rubber frame. I put some silicone grease on it and now both of them you can open it with one finger.
