    just bought an 88 dx

I have just purchased an 88 accord for $75. The body and interior are in great condition. The engine does not run. The owner was driving it a the oil light flashed a coule of time, heard a noise and quit running. I am thinking the timing belt went, but am unsure at the moment. I fi need a new motor that's ok with m3 for $75 dollar car. Anyone have any insight?

$75, well, from what we said on here i guess you'll need to buy a motor.

    turn the crank bolt

Get a socket on the crank bolt and see if you can turn it. Give you some idea how bad the motor could be locked up.

Thanks for the info, I will find out what is wrong on my next day off. I figured for the cheap price I could afford to play a little.
