Man you have some work to do but for $300 its not a bad start. Are you doing all of the body work yourself??

all the body work (where possible) will be done by me or replaced with pieces from junkers. I ended up replacing the piece under the tail lights with a perfect one from the junkyard; when i took that one off it broke into 4 different pieces.

That is a lot of rust, would be an understatement. Great job on getting it back on the right track and looking like a clean car again.

Nice car.. Not a fan of hatchbacks... but it is a Honda at least... Will be really nice once the rust is gone and has a new paintjob... and a bodykit maybe?

yeah, the boot is the same size around the bottom, all you have to do is secure it to the metal plate that holds the stock boot in place and your set.
oh wait, the ring on the top wont fit the stock shifter, you will need a ring off of a 5speed Hyundai; they are rubber and wide enough for the shifters. I guess hyundai did something right huh?

yeah, if i can find an 86 (or 87 maybe?) door in blue w/o the seatbelts i will replace the door (i saw 2 at the junkyard last time i was there). and i wanna see if i can put oldschool VW plastic fender 'flares' on at least the back to hide the cancer on those 1/4 panels. and then attack the interior which needs a new lower dashboard piece and some audio attention and new front seats if i can find them. its alot of work, but i love it.

with that much outer body rust, i'd be pretty concerned as to what the underbody looks like. It might not be worth it to fix the shell if the unibody is FUBAR'd.
