Man you have some work to do but for $300 its not a bad start. Are you doing all of the body work yourself??
sedan
Painted the steelies w/ civic center caps (i know)
mazda 626 front lip
tinted front trim pieces
post manual interior: 2nd gen accord shift knob and eg civic shift boot (both free at the junkyard) and the Escort 5-speed badge (i know, more)
yes, thats a bungee cord and a pacesetter muffler (i had cut it off my catback, and needed something to replace the "muffler" that was taken off the car before i bought it)
Sedan and Hatck tachs (respectively)

all the body work (where possible) will be done by me or replaced with pieces from junkers. I ended up replacing the piece under the tail lights with a perfect one from the junkyard; when i took that one off it broke into 4 different pieces.
good luck budd, looks like u have a long road ahead, but the hatches are worth it , have fun
man, the winter salt roads of MO really messed that hatch up. Good luck with all the rust, you must be a patient person. The shift knob is neato gota love 5spds there soo much fun. oh yeah I almost 4got get a new door.
good luck.. Boot easy to install?
That is a lot of rust, would be an understatement. Great job on getting it back on the right track and looking like a clean car again.

^And I'm going to leave it that way.
damn, and i thought I had rust problem around fuel filler.
good luck with a car bro.
Alex.
Nice car..Not a fan of hatchbacks... but it is a Honda at least...
Will be really nice once the rust is gone and has a new paintjob... and a bodykit maybe?

yeah, the boot is the same size around the bottom, all you have to do is secure it to the metal plate that holds the stock boot in place and your set.Originally Posted by Busted_Blue
oh wait, the ring on the top wont fit the stock shifter, you will need a ring off of a 5speed Hyundai; they are rubber and wide enough for the shifters. I guess hyundai did something right huh?
damn!! that hatch had to be sittin in da most moist enviorment to rust out like dat!!!! but da tan 4dr look tight!!!! good luck wit your projects!!!!
Holy shit that's alot of rust. I've NEVER seen anything like that on a 3G. Good luck man.

yeah, if i can find an 86 (or 87 maybe?) door in blue w/o the seatbelts i will replace the door (i saw 2 at the junkyard last time i was there). and i wanna see if i can put oldschool VW plastic fender 'flares' on at least the back to hide the cancer on those 1/4 panels. and then attack the interior which needs a new lower dashboard piece and some audio attention and new front seats if i can find them. its alot of work, but i love it.
you should shave the sides while your at it to give it a smooth look

with that much outer body rust, i'd be pretty concerned as to what the underbody looks like. It might not be worth it to fix the shell if the unibody is FUBAR'd.
Nothin' 2 Old Racing
the underside is not quite as bad, but its getting there.
