replace gear knob?

hey i was lookin to put on a new gear knob and was wonderin if any1 could tell me how to take the old one off?! it doesnt just screw off like most cars... and how easy is it to stick a new one on? thanks for ne help

Pull the collar in the boot down off the knob then it will unscrew.

Pull hard, too. Just grab the part that's right below the knob and pull. It has clips that hold it on.
