    Touchups for Stock Wheels

ok, i have some old prelude rims on my 3gee right now. some of the paint had chipped off and was lookin ugly. i got some Plasti-kote brand paint that i thought looked close to the wheel's paint. its gotta be almost exactly the same. the item # is 5330 Honda. i used it for a quick touch up because the aluminium was oxidizing and getting that gray color. anyway, unless you look right up at it you cant see its be repainted. i still need to take some time to sand down the good paint around the messed up areas and then spray it with the silver and then clear coat it. it looks a whole lot better than having this big gray spot. i'm probley going to look at getting some new rims soon but for now i got these prelude rims, they're alright.

if you can see in the pix, there is a change in the paint color where the center is around the lug nuts. thats where i only did a quick spray, but the area where the bottom lug nuts are is where it was really bad. it matched nice. i took more time on that spot. i need to take some more time to sand it down and do a few more coats to get it lookin just right. the change in the paint color is due the the aluminium showing through slightly. i'll have to take some more pix when i get it done.
