    Cheap? No. A worthless swap.
No projects. Life consumes my time and money.

why would you want a gutless wonder?? The A20 has much more potential. Higher revs only mean you dont have the torque and HP until you rev the shit out of it. No reason to rev high if the power is available before then like with the a20's.

the ultimate a20 would be turbo, but that'll cost you a good chunk of change to do that.

A cam will help you out getting some more power. So will an MSD ignition, new plug wires and a bigger ignition coil. You said you have a header, what kind of exhaust do you have?

I dunno if it would be worth the money, but def. don't underrate the d16z6's...I know 3 kids with the civvy hatch si's, those things get around real quick...My friend has a short ram and exhaust and headers on his car, and it fakin flies, he runs high 14's with just that done...Maybe its the weight of the car, but i dunno, hes got subs and everything so..
if junkyards didn't exist, neither would my car...

the z6's are good for a small hatch, but worthless in an accord IMO

go to openloopmotorsports.com for cams and adj. cam gears and some other stuff..
your best bet for an engine swap is either the JDM B20 or the any other Bseries that is Vtec. belive me i know about honda engines

dont drag up old threads like these! this thread and the 115 other threads this dude made about engin swaps have been flamed sqashed shit on and laughed at. it isnt worth the time to post unless this dude posts something actually realevant to the car he has.

    I personally agree with Steven.
Go to Openloop and by some staff for your A20.
There is no comparison between A20A3 and D16.
is not necessary to go the TURBO way.
A good set-up will be A20A3, service with change all filters, new synthetic oil, new cam belt, blueprinted injectors and then milled head-new head gasket, cam gear, regrid cam, F.P.R with gauge, header, free flow exhaust 2.25', cat-out, and CAI plus some time on Dyno and I reckon you'll hit easy 170 crank hp ( 145 whp) with 140lb.ft torque which will be fantastic and very fast.
But you have F.P.R, header and CAI, so you need to buy and instal some more parts and you'll beet your friend.
D16 is totally crap for the Accord.
If you'll go custom way, then you must start atleast with B16a swap.

d16's have some go if thrown together right. I had a friend with a d16a6 in his 90 hatch. He had a chikara header, magnaflow muffler, hi flow cat, plugs, plug wires, a cold air, and an si tranny. I was beating him but that little thing had some go. Personally i would stick with the a20. There is a lot of stuff you can do if you are willing to put the time and effort into it. It may not seem like they make parts for our cars but they do just takes time to find them and/or customizing them to make them work.
