My new JDM Vigor tails and stationary headlight JDM sidemarkers

In europe we as you probably know have stationary headlights but unlike japan we have some ugly dummy reflex lenses next to the headlights instead of the true sidemarkers that's supposed to be there. Been looking for those for a long time and finally found them. Thought I'd post a picture of them and my Vigor tails.

    not too good pictures..

I've been wanting those tails for a loooong time now

You have to get the matching bumper and trunklid tough. A good body shop would be able to modyfy them if you can't get the proper trunk cover.

By the way, those corner lens will really improve the look of the stationary headlights. Many people don'T like the stationary headlights because of that european fake corner

Digitized made those tails very popular in my book but i left it alone although i almost ordered them when i ordered all my stuff from Japan. I would still consider doing it but then i would have to have the xenon rear bumper modified a bit for the licence plate. Who knows but i will probably keep it simple so i can just finish this car up inside out.

If you're painting them take the lights apart and paint them from the inside out... I hate the look of paint over the plastic it ruins the effect of the clear lense.

I believe they are rear fog lights, not just reflectors... could be wrong though.

I think those should look awesome, but please leave the tails as is, don't paint the amber, IMO that would ruin the look of the back of the car. Those headlights are badass too, that combo will look killer, be sure to get pics of them on the car asap.

I think it would be a shame painting them red because they're so rare, but I did think about it. Maybe some day.
The trunklid will have to be modified to make it fit. My trunklid is 86-87 style (86-89 style in Europe) and Vigor lights is 88-89 style so the keyhole is placed different and the bottom of the license plate frame will have to get welded straight. I'm not going to bother ordering the Vigor trunklid since that would be way to expencive to ship. Not that big a difference between 86-87 and 88-89 trunklids anyway.
The aerodeck rear bumper already has the licence plate frame in it and the 88-91 civic bumper licence plate frame could probably also be used.
It will probably be a while before I'll be putting it on. I've got other stuff to do first.
The tails was about 120 us dollars.

European rear bumpers have foglights in them, not reflectors.

those look awsome man. I remeber when Digitized had the on his blue coupe. Too sick man, great find. And I say keep them amber. They'll look killer.

just a thought, instead of going through all the trouble to cut up and reweld your current trunklid, how about just going to the scrap yard and finding an 88-89 style? Finding one of those and just having it painted and swapping out the lock cylinders would be a much easier way to go at it.

Like I wrote we only have 86-87 style trunklids in Europe. Unfortunately.. But even if we did have them you would still have to weld the lower part straight.

i have a question, whats the diference between the vigor and the third gen? (well duh besides the cool jdm features and to cool tails). If nothings different, then technically wasnt the third gen first out in 85 with the vigor? sorry to whore your thread, cool tails and extremely good find!

The tail lights look great, Mr. Danish man! And those front marker lights are close to beeing worth their weight in gold for any 3G-fanatic. Maybe you could get some elites from the VW/Audi community to weld your trunk lid? Seeing how "those" people do it all the time on their Golfs and Polos, one would think they could also do a good job on your 3G?

    Thanks!
VAG people and Honda people toghether will never make a good combination! Nah just kidding, I was actually talking with a VW friend of mine about welding the trunklid. They had some guys from Poland working for them cheap doing bodywork and supposedly doing a good job, lol But I dont think it will be a problem getting done.
In Germany you can actually buy another version of the dummy lense. They have some sort of parking light inside them instead of a reflector but they still dont look near as good as the JDM ones which really flows with the headlights. When you put them on it's obvious to see that those were the ones supposed to be there.

Sometimes japansese sites offer a translation code pop up. Maybe try surfing some Jap stuff on goggle and see. I see if I can find one too.

**edit: you need a windows update CD with path to Windows Explorer 6.0, which I do not have!**
