I keep thinking "rice". Why not start this 3G build by smoothening the body, fitting an Xenon kit, lowering it and then fit some nice deep-dish wheels? Why start with the second highest class rice-symbol - the used-up "Si"-badge? A badge won't make the car look better - rather the opposite.

This is what the SI accord looks like

    http://www.angelfire.com/sk/fordfalcon/Honda.html

The 2.0SI emblem from a 88-91 Prelude would be more "genuine".

This statement entirely discredits your knowledge of cars and your ability to tune your Camaro to even beat a stock Accord. Most all car nuts know that old Camaros aren't that fast unless you do some major mods, and especially with they're 15 years old. It may feel like it's fast b/c it slides around turns when you mash the pedal down, but actually, it's really not.
I'm not saying this from a "tuner" point of view, but more from a muscle car point of view. I also own a big huge gas guzzler (which I'm sure would beat your camaro in stock form), and comments like that are what give a certain type of car owners the title of "stupid redneck." The V8 Camaro drivers in this world need to realize quite a few "souped up pocket rockets" can beat their car in a heart-beat. Sure you may have beaten a few eclipses with fart cans and an intake on the street (so have I), but this in no way can conclude your car's superiority over any "rice/import car."

gonna go with danronian on that one.. an old ass camaro could be easily left in the dust by more than one ricer/import.. like say a supra.. or a honda 2000.. 300zx.. nsx.. and what about other imports? like a mercedes amg class??? your chevy wouldn't even be able to chase those cars.. haha.. chevy chase..

I just want to comment this; AMG is a tuner working on *all* Mercedes' cars; they are to Mercedes what Mugen is to Honda, Alpina is to BMW, Quattro gmbh is to Audi, Tom's and TRD is to Toyota and so on and so forth.

congrats on having played gran turismo... but i think that my point was pointing out that a beat up camaro wasn't faster than every rice/import car.. not pointing out each manufacturers respective "speed shop", and you forgot mopar and hennessey, saleen and calloway.. yada yada yada.

what do you think about mines:

    http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...22_20_full.jpg

    it looks smooth though.
i got a 2.0si logo on mines (which i got off a civic that had a prelude spoiler, which came off a prelude that more than likely had the a20 efi engine, so . . . ..)

anyway it looks cool to me....

heh, i have that same badge. its in my car badge collection i have. i got it at the junkyard also. red Si badge looks pretty cute on the 3gee. lol. if you could get the Si civic seats that'd be good. they look nice when they are in good condition. now i think swapping the engine from the civic Si of the mid and late 80's wouldnt be a good idea. although i dont think you would do that. anyway, yeah.

My knowledge of the various "in house" tuner firms did not come from Gran Turismo (great game by the way!). But that was besides the point. I definately understand what you are saying tho'. Over here in Norway we have the BMW-boys thinking they are better than everybody else, and their cars are superior to the next machine; tuned or not tuned.
