Four cars (and one motorcycle) in three years and not one with a cupholder...this is the story of my life.
EFI conversion, CAI, full exhaust (header, high-flow cat, catback, muffler), Cam regrind, coil, ignition, plugs, wires, upgrade fuel pump... then maybe upgrade injectors, do some headwork and/or Port+Polish your intake manifold... that is probably more than $1K right there...
when you say CAI do you mean short ram, or a real CAI system? if there is a CAI system where can i find it?

CAI means cold air intake. i think you should search some more before you get flamed
so im lazy, flame if you will...

look for the word "search" at the top of the page. click on it. then type in what you want to know more about.
well minus the head work, but port and polish and the rest would be good.Originally Posted by keruhas184

a Custom CAI can range anywhere form 50-100bucks.
Exhaust piping and muffler can range anywhere from 100-500bucks.
A good header is hard to find..but if you want pacesetter that will settle you in around 300 or so.
Finally the cam is worth somewhere in the 100-200 range.
only guestimates on pricing, but thats a good start for your car with a grand.
88eyeguy: you're carbed... the best mod you could do is efi conversion, but it will involve the most work. If you stick with the carb, you'll need to mod a civic air box to run a CAI to your carb.
must I convert to EFI for cold air?
oh and before you start the grill, i prefer my steak medium rare and my flaming well done...me pyromaniac![]()

you dont have to, you can get a civic box. i got one you wanti sell it for 20bucks plus shipping
actually i'm thinkin of buyin an a20a3 and conv. the tank and ecu and all that to the efi stuff. i think that'll give me a little more freedom with the mods id like to do. besides, i'm gettin sick of my carb; even if it is just a year and a half old. it'll be a good way for me and the car to get acquainted.

i think so
good, nopionline.com has a pacesetter hi-flow cat system for about $170 is this a good exhuast system? i would really prefer the DC sports headers from what i've read on other threads.

Daily driver is better 4-2-1... I made 4-1 but that was cause thats what me and my motor likes
Oh before you convert to EFI... and if you have no emissions testing then you may want to do one of the vacuum line removal stages. It just modifies the vacuum routing to minimize vacuum leaks and gives a little more response to the carb. You can also adjust the mixture. https://www.3geez.com/showthread.php?p=470503#post470503
