    got my dynomax super turbo

i dont know if dynomax super turbo exhaust is still appealing to anyone... but i got it installed the other day. i love the deep roar it gives out when im driving around from 2,000 to 3,000 rpm. it doesn't set off any alarms but when i drive by i hear them chirp. the guy said that if i get pipping it would be twice as loud. cant wait to get pipping done. i paid $100 bucks for it. i also got a 4 inch chome tip. it looks sweet. ill post pics soon once i finish the roll of film.

You paid 100 bucks just for the muffler and tip? That's crazy. I can take a 3 minute drive to my local auto parts store and get the same muffler and tip for 50 bucks. I hope that includes installation.

I was just browsing turbo magazine I think... it had a muffler comparison... I think Apexi N1 came out on top... TODA racing was pretty good as well... they we all about 1-2 hp away from each other. I'm going to buy the mag next time I see it.

i have a nakayama muffler with a 5 inch tip, the shit is loud as fuck!the people who live next to me bitch at me about it every time they see me out working on my car. its so big i did not think i was gonna be able to keep enough back pressure and loose power, but its working. i didnt gain all that much hp over the 4 inch tip ractive that i had but it looks a hell of alot cooler.

I only got a slight increase in sound and I think I only noticed it because I was trying to hear a difference.

muffler shops need to make a profit... some online stores ship factory direct.

Most of the cost from my cat-back came from the muffler and tip because it was sold inhouse. only like $100-$150 for install and exhaust pipe. still a bit pricey... the total was like $450. I got to watch them bent the pipe and install it. 2.5" looks huge!!!

cool thing is the more I come back the more they knock off the cost of other things I buy... they say I'm a regualr customer... and I am.

If you work the percentage of markup thats robbery. And for that matter summit needs to make a profit to. Difference is they don't have $50 of MY MONEY, I do. Not one of the shops I went to with the muffler in the back of the car so much as blinked an eye at the thought I'd bought the muffler somewhere else. Theirs always another shop around the corner willing to take their business

I paid 39.99 for it at advanced auto parts and I also got a tip for 29.99 but it is a solid rolled brospeed tip.

how much would the shops usually cost to get muffler installed on? im guessing that it would come to be around 40-50 bucks? coz if it is, then the price would be about the same.

    WTW! That's mad expensive

I can get a dynomax super turbo for $14.95 no discounts or anything... that's a shitload cheaper then the 80 something you spent.... I haven't picked it up yet because I'm still working on getting my engine back together... but I think you got ripped.

I'm sure most of us would get the 2.5" piping during the install. From what I've read, that should cost around 70-80 bucks. You're talking a total of 125-135 bucks for muffler, tip, and 2.5" pipe.

I think you mean 2.25 inch piping mandrel bent only 2.5 if you have many mods including a very modified camshaft.
