    sucking air between master cylinder and booster

    hi i was wondering if theres a gasket between the master cylinder and the booster. cause when i changed it i didnt see anything there. and at autozone they didnt give me any gasket. thanx

    HondaNet doesn't seem to show one... i would say no... not between the bodies of the two, at least...

    so if it doesnt have a gasket what could be the problem could it be the booster? i just changed the master cylinder cause that got messed up.

    yeah most likely the booster if they are snug together possibly some sort of hole or gap in it.
    89 Lx-i hatchback bought for only $750

    there is no gasket,the booster is sealed,all it does is push on a rod which pushes on your master cyl piston. there is a rod on the opposite side too hich is the one that the pedal attaches too.that way if your boster fails it can still operate the master cyl .the booster is sealed from outside air. if it's bad it's a lot easier to just get a rebuild then to try and fix it. the big vaccume hose going to it should hold vaccume without the pedal pushed.
