Oh my God no offense but our cars sucks ass in snow. I just drove in the first fall of snow this morning and i thought i was going to die.. how could i improve our cars to be snow cars!?

Actually, I find the accord to be good in the snow when you have good tires. I have about 3 different sets of regular tires and one set was decent in the snow. But last winter i decided to try snow tires and the Goodyear ultra grip ice are simply amazing. I never thought it was worth getting snow tires but my car will go anywhere in the snow. I have a MX6 for the winter and that car sucks its very unstable and my brothers 92 Integra was horrible in the snow compared to the accord.

Your suspension could be out of alignment. Maybe you wont notice it on dry roads but when there's snow on the roads it's hard just driving straight.

My Accord did great in the snow the past 3 winters. Of all 3 winters, I only got stuck twice and that was because I was not on paved roads. Of course, I don't have to worry about it anymore. No more snow driving for mine.

I have never had a problem in the snow or ice either. I have a good set of studless snow tires and then a pair or studded tires I just got from Justin86, so I shouldn't have any problems.

hmmm...my 86 lx tire's was worn, and it did good in the snow.
and i live in chicago....

i've never lost control in ice snow or rain in the accord (unless i was just messing around), way better than my parents all-trac previa.

The first year I drove in the snow I did it with 4 bald tires, that really sucked but I still didn't even get stuck in 6inches of snow, sure I had to ride through every gear to stop or even brake, but then I got some decent tires and it was awesome, wore those away in one year (NEVER buy General Exclaims, they advertise 40K mi. tread-life, more like 15K mi. and then bald!), and now I have some cheap snow tires and can't wait to test them out, I just need to replace the rear bald exlcaims with something decent so I'll actually be able to break without inducing a spin.

I`ve had no problem with my LX-i HB in the snow, I was riding on a set of cheap 15 in rims and Kumho ECSTA Supra 712 tires. You really don`t need the snow and ice tires unless its really bad, learn to drive in the snow and most of all take your time. Some people think they can drive in the snow and ice like they are on regular pavement and roads. Drifting in the snow and on the ice is fun but I only do it on a large open parking lot away from light poles.

I live in toledo, ohio, and we just had a ice storm, and my girlfriends 92 Corolla was HORRIBLE. we got into the accord and I was driving circles around the AWD SUV's...

To increase grip in snow, change the tyre to 1) narrow spike/stud tyre (to increase the pressure against the snow surface) or snow tyre. If not 2) use tyres with lots of gloove and if poss 3)soft tyre. If you cannot afford new set of tyre, drop the air pressure a bit will help. In general wider hi-grip low profile with high air pressure tyre with minimum gloove act like toy plastic wheel on snow - no grip. My rally crazy friend tought me this. As he was 'crazy' so he might be wrong so dont blame me if you crash into your neighbours car with these setting!

yeah, lower your tire pressure in the winter for better traction and raise it in the summer for better mileage.

I put nice big snow tires on my winter wheels and even with the car lowered and bad camber i was able to drive down to philly(bout an 1.25 hours) in the worst snow storm we had last year.

the only problem i have with traction on muddy wet roads, loose gravel road, or icy road is if i apply too much power or too much braking. and going too fast around turns. we never get snow here though, only like one time was it what i can say was icy. but not really. anyway, i'm glad i live here in south texas during the winter.
