Thumbs down My Door Situation.... *pics*

well heres some pics of my broken passenger side door. its rusted near the hinges and now it sags terribly. i need to go to a body shop and take care of this. it closes once you kinda lift it up so the latches meet up. but in the process it makes a horrible squeaking and grinding noise that makes me wonder how the hell it is even staying on

have you tried taking the door off, and then seeing how bad the damage really is? I mean if you take the door completely off then maybe you could figure out a way to realign it, or even drive it to a body shop and have them fix it.

shit man i was thinking about a gullwing conversion once, it would be possibel, the main problem though is whether the roof can support the doors and you won't be able to park in any tight spaces unless you can exit through your window.

Is the rust on the car side or on the door side of the hinge?

That whole corner will need to be cut out and replaced. It is screwed.

I had that exact same problem with my escort. It was terrible, now the car just sits in the yard. I never got around to fixing it.

thats the type of repair where you just make something up cause its not something you can replace from the look of the pics. i dout a body shop will do anything and even if they will itll cost more than it would to just buy a new car.
