I Got Hit/ I Need To Know Price Of A New Hood!

I went to work at a lady's house and she said accidentally backed up into my ride with her Ford truck. She made a pretty big dent in the hood and now i need a new one. She told me she wants me to keep it out of insurance's hands, and offered to pay for a new hood. How much would i expect to spend? What range? I know someone can answer this for me! She needs to know!

    Thank You Very Much!

    hah tell her $1000

just go get quotes from auto shops, then mark that up a tad.

go see a chiropractor for a few sessions, you will get money for pain and suffering too! and they will pay for your chiro visits...

The price varies from it being free to probably a couple thousand dollars (custom paint and sh*t). Good luck.

i've looked at hoods at the junk yards here. the place i usually go charges me $35 for a hood. but most other places will want something like $75-$100. and they are usually worse than mine though. finding a good strait, undented hood at a junk yard for our cars can usually be hard. my experience anyway. they a new steel hood is about $150-$200 depending on where you get it. they mostly come primed, then you have to get it painted and clear coated. i added up what it would cost to get a steel hood new and get it completely finished. it costs more than a new carbon fiber hood i've found on ebay. i havent had luck with junk yard hoods, so i'm going with the cf hood when i'm ready to get it.

yeah i would say around 35 at a Junk Yard.
Then i dunno how much a shop would charge you to color match and paint it.
Keep all your paperwork and hope the lady does what she says she'll do. Good luck man.

Go to a shop, they will say probably 800 to fix depending on the dent and paint. Make her pay that cause you're gonna have to factor in paint. Then get one from a junk yard for 35, leave it unpainted, the same color as the junked car is, and then bank the other 750+. Merry Christmas to you.

Just to be on the safe side for you, if I was in your shoes, I'd probably want $400. Say $100 for the hood (price varies from yard to yard) and $300 for paint. But seriously though, with that much, you can get a carbon fiber hood. Good luck.

brand new hood on majestic cost around $100-150 i can't remember for sure. add new paint job to match the car probably another $200-300

if you want one from junk yard, my junk yards charge $100 flat for a hood. sometimes they are in great shape, but sometimes they are junk.

Down here it's $38 from u-pick, $75-120+ from other junk yards depending on the junk yard and condition.
