how do i hook up msd 6al on an 89 lx??

i see that there is a how to for an lxi. my lx doesnt have black/yellow and a blue wire going to my fuse box for my distrib.. those color wires go to my coil. how do i hook a 6al up to my lx? thanks

it's supposed to go between the coil an the distributor so you grab the wires from the coil and hook them to the box...

there are two wires from the distributor and two from the fusebox or the wire harness near the fuse box. all coils have 4 wires going to it stock... It's pretty straight forward... take the 4 wires off of the distributor and just splice blue with blue to make one wire then splice yellow/black with yellow/black. then hook them to the box as it shows in the diagram. it the same way for hooking up an aftermarket coil.

i already have a msd coil. so its just like the lxi? i didnt see any black/yellow and a blue wire coming from under the fuse box. so the wires that go to the coil from the distrib need to go the the fuse box then hook the 6al to the coil?

take the wires from ther coil and hook them to the msd box... then msd box to the coil... I assume you already spliced the blue with blue and black/yellow with black yellow to get the coil running.
