    tail light conversion.

since there doesn't appear to ever ever ever be anyone who's gonna make any replacement tails (though there are ennough of us) i have a question... i was behind a early 90's intergra the other day and it looked as though it's tail lights were very similar to mine just more thin... keeping in mind that i've got a hatch and it was also... how much work would be involved in converting from one to the other??? and does anyone have an estimate?

$1300 possibley professionally done. i'll ask this body shop guy i know how much something like that would go for. i'd say do something that'll flow better with your cars rear end though. i dunno, i'd have to see this done first to know if it'd look good.

On a hatch, I'd say they would flow pretty well. I wonder how close the new RSX tailights are to ours, ie how much work would need to be done.

the rsx lights are like rounded at the tops right??? i don't know how well that would go, but i did see that same integra today at waffle house.. and the car looks almost exactly like mine... just a few minor differences.. i think that it'll work.

i dunno, now that i look at the 2nd gen integra, i think those would go ok with the accord. i thought they were more rounded, i was really thinking of someone that did the 3rd gen integra conversion. so yeah those would go good, the 2nd gen ones.

Just have everything welded up and do Skyline tails. There is a 4th gen Accord around where I live with em, and it's pretty sick!! He had shitty body work, but the idea and fineshed look would be cool.

I've been thinking about this for a long time as well b/c I would love to do something different with my tails, but I just don't have the time/money/guts to start on this type of project just yet.

All of these suggestions can be done with minor body work, and no major reworking of the body to make it fit. I do have some other very radical, bodywork-intensive ideas, but these are all fairly do-able jobs.

I think the 1st Gen 'Teg would look real good considering the tails are almost identical in design, but just a little skinnier...

The '91 240 might look good too...

    An '89 Mustang...

...I know there are so many haters of this, but IMO these could look good if done right, and accented with the right other body mods... ..these are altezza's for an 87-93 Mustang.

If you wanted to do somthing like the first gen teg tails easily you could just mold the stock tails in and paint the bottom and top of the tails the same color as the body.
