    Front hub replacement

I have a 88 Accord Lxi and need to replace the driver's side wheel hub. I have read several posts that indicate that in order to replace the front hub it will have to be pressed out. Is there any to-do's, gotcha's, special tools or a best practice list that I need to be aware of?

    Thanks!!

best thing to do is just take the entire wheel assebly off and take it to a machine shop. getting it pressed ou isnt the expinsive part. the hub bearing is.

yah you're gonna need a 32mm (or is it 24) big socket to take the hub off, then take loose the brake caliper, tie rod, upper ball joint.

and yah while you have the hub off, may as well replaced the lower ball joint if you haven't already. Pz.

if youre gonna do a hub, do a wheel bearing as well while you have it apart. If you have another hub you want to use in hand, id just take at least a 5lb hammer and beat the shit out of it until it all falls out and use a new wheel bearing with the hub you have. That simplifies things alot.

I just ordered control arms, lower ball joints one bearing and shocks and was wondering about those lower ball joints... Really have to use a press to get the hub and bearing out and new ones in. RATS.
And you recommend replacing both bearings too - those things are $50 each!
thanks for the tips....any others would be greatly appreciated before I tear into this!!
