    Bought a sleepy eyes kit.

It's not the one I wanted but I didn't want to spend $80 for a controller. It could be the same one but I didn't see a pic of the one I'm getting. I spent $22 US for the kit. It's fully adjustable and you can adjust it from your car seat. I really don't care if it looks awful, but I'm sure it will look decent at one of the angles. Plus I can go from sleepy eyes to normal headlights just at the turn of a dial.

I'm supposed to be saving money but $22 is pocket change. I can't wait. I have a bunch of goodies coming in the mail... SS Brake lines for the lude, real aluminum dash kit just the 3 pieces that I wanted... and now this kit.

From what i've seen it doesnt look anywhere near as good as it does on the 240's. You might be able to get it right so it looks good. i"ll be waiting for pictures!

the reason it doesnt look as great on cars like the 3gee and AE86 corrolla is because the headlamp stays in one position inside the lid. unlike the eclipse and probe, their's stay in a strait up and down position due to a mechanical mechanism. i liked the way that miata looked with the dual round headlight conversion.

Josias had/has them on his hatch... unless you have fog or driving lights i wouldnt do it, but adjustable could be pretty cool.

I don't really like it, I had mine partially up all the time at one point cause someone backed into one side and the light didn't go down right all the way. After fixing it, I have to say I wouldn't go back. All the way up or all the way down is fine for driving, might be nice to be able to wink though from the passenger seat

    i've made mines wink...
all i did was kept doing it and by the 5th time they went up the right was goig up before the left.

    i don't like pop-up lights.
    i can't explain it.

i have to admit the 3g front end looks good with the lights down.

ah, same here. i leave my lights up almost all the time. i like how it looks with them up for the most part, and saving the pop up motors. otherwise i'm sure they'd be dead by now with all the night driving i do. put that sleepy eye kit on and show us already! i wanna see how it looks on the car.

Alright guys I installed the kit and I will get pics of it asap. I might spend the extra money and get the better sleepy eyes controller though. This one only has it open, half way, and closed. The more expensive ones on ebay allowed you to contol them from 0 degrees to 80 degrees and then from 80 degrees it went to normally open. Wiring for this was a snap. Easy easy easy. And I did it when it was 30 below zero out Damn its cold out. I think they look cool. The kit I got was pretty good quality everything was together (no loose wires it was shrinked in the tubing)

Basically you take the retractor 10amp fuse out of the engine bay fuse box. Then you put the connectors on the fuse and then you put the wire from the switch to the fuse holder and then the jumper wire from the fuse to the fuse holder. The only thing I don't like is the controller/switch. The one I got is just a 3 way toggle switch so I will use that for now until I buy that dial controller.

I will get pics once my car is charged up (low battery I guess that's what I get when I don't drive her for a week in this kind of weather.)

looks wierd our cars. i notice trans am, nsx's, miata's, 240's, all their head lights are far back from the front bumpers which makes the fron't bumpers look like a nose. then the front itself looks like a face. our cars are wierd, the lights are too out there. looks ugly.

I retract my statements about only having one angle to have them sleepy eyes for this kit. I just got my car fixed and well I tried it really quick and I got a different angle so I'm going to take some pics now ok.

I still don't like how you can't have your lights on though while doing the sleepy... But I suppose with any kit you can't have them on.

Here's 2 more pics. Another angle almost closed. I think I will still get that dial controler just so I can have a more variety of angles. I might be able to do more than these but its damn cold out and I dont want to mess around with it right now.

So what do you guys think about them. I like them on the first set of pics kinda more noticeble.
