i have got up to 110. but i know my car could do another 30 mph if i had long straight road.

ive gotten mine (stock 88 lxi 5sp) to 115, and it had some pedal left, couldnt go all out b/c a little traffic on i95, but yeah i think mine could do somewhere around 120 or so, yours could too
still miss mine . . .
ive had mine upto 180km/h about 113mph..
mine is an LX, and i still had room to go

I've gotten up to 120 on flat road, and downhill I've been up to 140 (I'm guessing since the speedo doesn't go that far)
late night freeway, its ceartainly possible to go past 110, assuming my car can do it.
and the corollas speedo only goes to 110 anyways, yeah prolly electonicly limited. are our accords electronicly limited too?
no bull, i've gotten mine to 127, it felt like my car was gonna fall apart around me
the fastest i have gone was 95 mph with a broken, sticky carb. Well, we will see how the efi handles it now.

wow 120, on a '87 LX! is that car stock? doesnt the 87' LX have 90 HP stock?
Man my car must suck then i can only get it up to 105 i think it would have kept going faster but i ran out of road the road i was on takes about 10 min to get to the end if u do 45 so i should have gone to like 130 right? yeah my car sux
120mph at sea level (Corpus Christi), flat road, and a tail wind.
With a head wind 110mph. Car was only three years old with about 50K miles on it at the time.
Around here I never get enough empty road to do that, but I can hit 100 easy for a short time in the HOV lane on the weekend!
corollas are limited upto say 115, i dont know why, but ive never been able to get my car upto even a hundred, maybe its because there too many lights on the damn service road (least traffic although there a bit curvy, you only notice it once u start going 90...)

for top speed the DX and LX have an advantage. Your probably saying "they only have a 98hp!" Yea they do but they have TALLER gears which means better highway RPMs. So theoretically you should be able to go faster because you have more RPMs to go. I know! I have an LX-i and a DX, both 5spds. My DX can get to 110 easy and it is about 3800rpms. My LX-i at 90mph is at 4k! I simply run out of gear. When my LX-i was an auto i had it up to 120mph. Fastest i have gone since it was a 5spd is 115mph. So finally the DX and LX can win at something :flipa:

Hmm! Not to sound like a scrooge! But 120hp efi stock going 140mph? Sounds kinda funny!!! I know the speedometer might hover over the 110 or higher!! but arent most stock cars electrocally impossible to go pass a certain speed limit?? I love my 3geezer!! but it does not sound realistic!! Please I know some of u dudes has cai, wires + plugs, but c'mon!! just my 2 cents!!!! WOW our cars going almost as fast as an M5!! Those things top out around 150mph!!

Well, I am not exaggerating the 120mph. I don't know if the car would do it at our current elevation with our crappy reformulated gas, but I had it up that high for extended periods on the back roads in Corpus. These roads were so long and flat that you could practically see the curvature of the earth.
100-110 is not problem at all and I can hit that quickly. The 100-120 takes a bit, though.
Well there are a lot of open freeways here so I've gotten her up to 126mph... she's definitly not stock though....lol... If I still have the pics I''ll post them....

I took my Lx-i well over the 130 mark. with no hesitation whatsoever and alot of pedal left to push. It comes up quik to 100 fast whenever i want to push it to it! I dont often though, Them cops will get me i know it! But it is stock so i like it! I have left some mustangs behind... Speed Limiter!!!!
