    1989 honda accord dx bad engine

    Hey whats up Im new here I love my 3 g but just tuesday I lost my engine its all stock I bought it for $175 But have infested over 1500 in 3 months is it worth saving?I just put in Brand new eibach sportline springs 4 new kyb gas struts a pacesetter exaust 2 new axles and numerous repairs.And If I do want to save it what are my options.Has for should I buy a motor from the junk yard or have this one rebuilt.

    well, what is actually wrong with the engine? its rare that a 3gee's engine is bad, its usually something else. since you've already put some money into the car, i'd say keep it. i've dumped money into mine making road worthy, although i didnt "lose the engine". which i dont really know what that would mean besides maybe you threw a rod. so tell us what the problem is with it.
    Keep it HONDA. Or at least Asian.™

    Yea I threw the rod out I get a thumping whenever I accelerate. It also has
    been notorious for leaking oil.
