    Angry Time To Swap...damnit

THIS IS PART RACE STORY, PART MANIFESTO.

AFTER AN IMPRESIVE WIN OVER MY BUDDIES 96 SEBRING, ANOTHER FRIEND WANTED TO RACE. HE HAS A 02 GRAND PIX. SO I SAID LETS GO. NOTE I HAVE BEEN RACING FOR YEARS(AMERICAN MUSCLE) BUT I HAVE NEVER HAD HANDED MY ASS TO ME LIKE THIS AND I HAVE LOST IN MY 3GEN BEFORE.
FIRST THOUGHT, GO GET MY 69 CAMARO OUT OF THE GARAGE AND SHOW HIM A FAST CAR... BUT THAT IS NOT MY GOAL. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT THING IS FAST.
SECOND THOUGHT, GO OUT AND GET A NEWER CIVIC, WORK IT, AND THEN SHOW 'EM SOMETHING BUT THEN TOO EVERYONE IS DOING THAT ALREAD. PLUS I DON'T LIKE THOSE CAR ANYWAY. I LIKE MY 88 ACCORD, THE LINES, THE INTERIOR, IT'S JUST COOL.
LAST OPTION, THE B16 SWAP. 160HP TO START, I THINK I COULDN'T GO WRONG. ALL THE AFTER MARKET SUPPORT.

I WANT TURBO, OR NOS, OR BOTH IF POSSIBLE WITH BEEFED UP INTERALS. PORTED AND POLISED HEAD, CAM, HEADER, CAT BACK, WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO GET 200 TO 250 + HORSES.
THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN TO ME AGAIN(OR AT LEAST NOT THAT OFTEN)

ALL COMMENTS, SUGESTION WECOME AND APPRICIATED.

Sounds like a plan bro.....I know how you feel about wanting your accord faster, I don't race but if I ever did I would want to win I think I'm gonna doa swap eventually, but it won't be a b16.

well there are tons man....it all depends on what you can afford and how much power you want etc...You can put any B-series engine in your accord, or an H22a. There are others I just can't think of them.

I got a friend who has a 2000 grand prix GTP supercharged 240 hp bone stock his car runs mid to high 14's with his system in the car. He's getting a new pully and air intake. The pully is supposed to increase the boost by 3.5 lbs. The grand prix to be an auto and very heavy it's really fast.

You can put what ever motor you want as long as you got the cash$$$$$$$$.

H22A,H23A,B18C,B16A,B16B,B20A,F20A,F22C, or build up the A20A.

Either build up your a20 and turbo it or drop in a b18c or h22. It all depends on how much cash you have or are willing to spend.

Good luck with whatever you choose.

Grand Prix = kick ass. I had my arse handed to me the other night by my friend's bone-stock, non-supercharged GT. He got a head start about half a car-length before the light turned (the fucker), and I had clutch control problems the first pass but he fucking rocked me good. I told him this is the "before" pic and a year from now is the "after" pic... at which point I'm pretty sure I'll have B20A power and hopefully the rebuild and hybrid turbo I so desperately would need to REALLY hurt the Grand Prix. And he has nowhere to run with mods unless he swaps in the SC engine which I don't think he would do. (He spent 3 large on fucking RIMS though... fagot)

Those are a few of the lowest prices i've seen. You can get a B18C with 180hp for $3300 complete. I e-mailed the guy and he says that comes with motor, tranny, ecu, axles, mounts and linkage, though I dont think the included mounts work in the 3g. They also have a complete H22A 190hp prelude engine for $2500. For cheap performance, a B16A 160hp complete goes for about $1300.
    Now:
    -1988 Honda Prelude custom
-1988 Honda Accord (to be fixed and sold)
    Soon:
    -some big 4x4 truck
    -91 Acura NSX

well I have to say, i reconsidered turboing again, after I met this guy with a turbo'd 94 hyundai scoupe, he'd done a full custom turbo, with stock internals so far, has costed him a few grand....but what got me....his CUSTOM turbo manifold costed $600 australian which is roughly $300 US.
