ecu is blinking, help plz...

i was just out messing around in my car and i notice a couple of wires coming out from under the drivers seat. then i remembered everyone talking about the ecu being under there and i took a look and the ecu was blinking. I blinks 6 times then stops, and repeats itself. Can someone tell me if this means anything and if so what?? thanks

if it's any help at all..I was messing around erbuilding my car last week...trying to get it running...was gettign a code 6....
so tehn I rememberd about some wires adn stuff I forgot to hook up...and when I plugged them back in the code went away....

teh plug is the big round one rigth in front of teh drivers fender(actually hooked to it) and is really close by the resistor box...

don't know if this will help but it slved my problem...lol

Hehe I'm getting a 6 blink atm as well. My car is doing some funny stuff though. Like setting off the engine light, running at really low idle sometimes. Also I get some hesitation when I accelerate(when I step on the gas pedal the RPMs shoot down then go up)

Does this sound like a ECT sensor problem or should I look into something else?

which is better to get for this kind of stuff, the haynes manual or the chilton's repair manual?? thanks..

get both manual if you can afford.

neither will help for ecu problems
the haynes has a list of major problems and symptoms in front..that will help some
