factory size is 185, will 225's fit?

    Just wondering,
was looking at some 16's someone was selling, and they're wrapped in a 225/50r16 rubber. Does anyone know if that size would fit on an 88 Accord LX 4 door?

by adding spacers, the rim will stick out of the fender and not look flush with the body. It fits and all, but I don't think it's that good looking.

Wow please do some research and dont believe everything you here. All the spacer is gonna do is make you the fenders. And to answer the ? I had 225 with 17'' rims and when I took my car off the jack it would barlely move because it was rubbing so bad.

Goto tirerack.com they list the specs for tires and see what the height and width is. I run 205/50/15 on a 7 inch rim and I do ok. I run the rear suspension dead soft so the would rub a little at full compression. I eneded up cheating a little and putting in coil spacers (rubbers) in the rear. I think an otherwise stock car you would be fine.

i'd say 215 width is the biggest to go with. i'd reccommend 205 though on any rim size. so, how much are those rims going for? if they are fairly cheap, go for em. you could get tires later if need be. do make sure the bolt pattern is 4x100 and the offset isnt too close, 40mm is stock.

well, he was selling them for $400 obo with the rubber (thats in canadian dollar).
the rims look like they're a universal 4 bolt, but the guy said they're only 4x114.3 (and i cant see a company making 8 holes, without making it universal?)

225/50 is too tall 225/45 you can squeeze in depending on offset and drop. 215/ 45 is your best bet. look here for more info......... http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp

If you can find a vid of my car the rims on it. I can give to you for $400 canadian with rubber. They are 17" rims. Two of the rubber have 95% left the other 2 have about 70%. Oh and Im 90& sure those will fit.
