my five speed tranny exploded, literally. i framed the gears on my wall.
I have a good reason to swap with THE PRELUDE B20 but i would like to know the entire list of parts to grab AND if the same stock mount locations could be used.![]()

The lude B20 is not a dirrect swap like the JDM accord B20

Same old, I don't really want to do the research to find out all the information needed for the question I just ask that has been answered multiple times before.![]()

Just read the faq's and the numerous threads about it. It's all there. Just look.
Justin86, the 86-87 lude B20A is the same engine as 86-89 accord B20A.
ok research and reading the countless threads on the subject of engine swaps has made me a little edgy and annoyed.. the questions asked are simple and straight forward yet the answers are patchy and not so helpfull. ONE LAST TIME .
I would like to swap a bseries engine in my 3g accord, the engine is a b18a WHAT WOULD I NEED TO MAKE THE THING WORK..( i would really appreciate a parts list of any kind just to get the gears of my head spinning) ????????????
Look for threads that concern B16, B18A, B18B, B18C, GSR swap, Civic SiR, VTEC. They will all contain the info. you need. Since your mounts will need to be custom, I suggest just getting a new tranny.
No projects. Life consumes my time and money.
here is link to answer your question.Originally Posted by SIBILANTx

Alex.
What the lude B20 works, how you know this? I thought the 86-87 have the A20, maybe over in Europe, but not here in the states.Originally Posted by thegreatdane

Oh, only the JDM and EDM ludes have the B20A. It's correct that 86-87 prelude only had A20A in the US.
yea so thats still a problem with getting one over to the states and rebuild parts.
