Exclamation rear disc with stock nuckles 56k watch out.

I have an idea that would let us possibly use our stock rear nuckels on our dx:lxi models for a rear disc conversion.

On the drum assembly theres that metal backin plate that holds all the drum break crap in place. Well, I was looking at it and that whole thing is removeable so therefore if we take it off and make custom mounting brackets using the blot holes on the nuckle we could have rear disc for our nonsei models with out the se-i nuckles. heres some pics to show yall what I mean.

sorry if Im bringing up an old idea. searched but found nothin

It's a possiblity, and I've looked at it and it seems like the brackets are similar. The only thing I see that may become an issue is the caliper positioning. The caliper bracket seems to be integrated into the knuckle so that is a problem you need to look at.

hmm I like that thread but it is now rather dead. so this idea has been hatched b4 and discussed so hmm if a mod wants they could delet this one and someone could do a major bump to the other thread. wonder how much that civic conversion kit cost...thanx for that thread Struggle it was very informative to me. I will most likly put my car back together with drums in the end anyway.
