    Exclamation slow or not slow

I have a 1988 honda accord A20A1, I currently have a custom cold air intake, and a custom exhaust. I think my car is very slow, I went racing and got beat by a 1998 ford probe, and my friends chevy cavalier, and he told me his clutch was slipping. I have done a complete tune-up to my car, plus the upgrades and it is still slow. I hit 0-60 mph in 2 blocks, I dont know in how many seconds. It has pretty good top end power but, losses some power after 5,500 rpm. Can I do any tunning or simple upgrades to help my car run better in high rpms, Im sure my car is capable of running better than is running now. PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP MY CAR GO FASTERRRR?

Getting it faster is no feat if you have time and money. Other than that, if you bought the car for speed and have neither...you bought the wrong car. By default it is a grocery hauler. But then again, EVOs and WRXs are also, along with many others. You need to check out the F.A.Q. as previously stated for some simple mods and then some. There is vacuum line removal, weight removal, custom airboxes, etc. PM A20A1, the moderator...he is the one to talk to about the carb. The EFI swap will get you up to speed.

Plenty of mods you can do... the custom intake should have helped... I think flipping the lid is just as good for high rpms.

Check out the carb tech section.
