secondary throttle

okay i used some seafoam and carbcleaner to really clean the engine.
so i poured a little seafoam into the secondary barrel, while the engine was running, and it started to act like it was too much fuel, so i looked thru the sec. barrel and the engine was sucking the seafoam like it was nothing.
so i figured this thing is slightly opened at low speeds and when i don't need it, which would probably explain my boging ......right??

is there any way to fix this (besides converting to efi)??????

try getting another carb and see if that helps.

....um don't mean to sound stubborn but, thats what i'm trying not to do.
i mean im saving up money to convert to efi or better yet....sell it.

does your car runs fine?
if it does, than don't worry. the more you mess with carb, the more of a problem it will become.

eh yea...there's the starting (i got the choke open like that)but when i take off it bogs, plus the gas milege is rediculous.
but other than that no more of that popping, and she runs smoother once she warms up.

well, the boging is somehow related to your choke. I would try to replace the carb with one from junk yard and see what happens.

sorry i meant that i basically don't have a choke (so its opened constatly).
