A/C compressor belt too tight? A/C overcharged, making the belt slip on the compressor? A/C compressor bearings failing? Get it checked soon.![]()
Probably a failing clutch pulley bearing. If so, you might get lucky and be able to replace the clutch assembly. On my old Pontiac this bearing got noisy and seized only about three days after the noise started. It melted the belt off, but no other damage was done. If you have the Keihin compressor you may find that removing the clutch will cause shaft seal problems, maybe not.
Good luck.
i have a bigger problem now. I had to go to get a new steering rack put in and the people that did it said oh its just probaly power steering fluid leaking on it so after i got my new rack in and took it home i put on my a/c and my rpm went down to 0 and my car stalled out. what do i do now?
may be youy forgot to connect teh A/C booster ?
