***How Do You Adjust The Shift Linkage on my 5Speed Tranny?**

Hi I am apparently having problems with my tranny... well reverse keeps popping out of gear and I think its because the Shift linkage needs to be adjusted and I have no clue how to do it.... So if there is someone out there that could help me out that would be sweet.... P.S. Yes I have already done a search but found nothing... If someone could give me specific steps and answers to my question that would be sweet... Thanks guy's, Later.

From the many times I have had my shifter and linkage apart, and to my best knowledge, there is no adjustment, it probably pops out because you groud reverse one too many times when going from a forward gear to reverse, it often happens to manual trannies that don't have a synchronized reverse gear, like ours. But getting a used tranny installed is cheap, so that is always a route you could follow, I just got it done and including a new clutch the total cost was under $700.

There is no adjustment in the linkage. It's just 2 rods.

Sorry to be the carrier of bad news, hopefully you can get it fixed for cheap or a low mileage used one for cheap.
