    shortened,revalved, externally adj. koni replacement

I've been in contact with opm motorsports inquiring for the shortened and revalved konis that are listed on their site. These knis are not instock and they cannot get them.(big surprise there)

But somewhat good news is they have a hsop that can custom build shortened externally adjustable (rebound only) valved for higher spring rates struts for the 3rd gen Accord. I was informed they had already made some of these for racing so dont need any stock struts for measurements etc.

They would take 3 to 6 weeks to make all four. Bad news is you will have to pay 350 per strut. Totalling 1400 for a set of four struts. Not bad really since thats about how much I'm paying to have my konis shortened revalved and made externally adjustable. bout 1000 ins services total from koni, plus what I originally paid for the struts which was like 500.

I just found out this info and figured I pass it along to those that might be interested.

I'm probably not going to be buying some anytime soon but for future reference how about some contact info? Do they ship or just local pickup?

I thought Jim covered this before and Koni would do it for a fee. I may be wrong but i recall talking about it in the past and im 99% sure it was for the Koni's. I was thinking about having mine done before.

Sorry guys I should have made myself clear.

The opm units are completely custom built by one of their suppliers, and have nothing to do with koni. I just phrased it that way since konis are no longer available maybe these custom one off's are a likely replacement.

Kkonni will do work on their own struts. I just sent out my 4 konis back to koni to have them shortened revalved and made externally adjustable. Total cost of 1000+.

Damn, I figured it wouldnt be cheap but $1000 is a bit steep. Im going to see how they feel on the GC's when i get them this summer. I just wish they were externally adjustable. I dont think i will be going to low since im getting the xenon kit and dont want to mess it up.

Well if you only shorten the fronts it prbably be about 200 less.

Alot pricier than I thought also. You signed in on aim?
