i have the silverstarts in my 4g, defenitely better illumination than the halogen stocks. But its not like HIDs tho. From what i have learnt, cars that come equipped with HIDs or have an option for HIDs have special reflectors on their headlights when using HID systems.

Luv the silverstars, best u can get in the 808, since anything w/ a blue tint (that is not stock from the factory) gets you a ticket & a hefty fine. Don't know about HID's since I don't see 'em much. Easy & cheap mod.

never heard of anybody actualy getting a ticket for blue tint head lights, and the local honda dealer sells them at $80 a pair (PIAA). Expensive but thay don't void your warranty and are 100% legal (in oregon)

never had them, but i hear they are better thans stock. I have H4 conversion with Raybrig Sonic white bulbs. closest thing to real HID as you can get.

any bulb properly used, will come quite some time. i had the silverstars for almost a year and their brightness is still brighter than my 3g's and i run stock ones on my 3g.

Where is 808?!? The silverstars are pretty good but, they are no where near HID and they claim they are the closest non HID light to being HID and that is not true either. Read my post about headlight replacesment. The free bulbs sent with the kit were brighter and whiter.

I have had my H4 housings for a few years now. I had some basic $4 Hella H4 55/60's in them for a while and then got some Silverstars on eBay. There's a guy who sells them for $26.95 per pair (v. $40 at Wal Mart). The actual driving experience (illumination) is not much different, but the temperature (color) of the light is whiter. Not like H4's, but they look a hell of a lot better than those crappy looking blue tinted H4 wanna-be's.

Overall, not really worth the extra money, even at $26.95 when I can buy basic Hellas for $4 each!
