Red face Let the modifications begin...

Ok yall, I started on re-doing my interior last night. I took a different approach than I took last time. Instead of using the paint that you can pour into the can and spray out, i'm using it from the bottle with a brush. It will probably take a little longer than before, but i thinkit will be worth the time it takes. I took the before pictures of the dash and I will take some pictures of the in between today. I painted the passenger side dash last night, and i'm putting the last coat on today hopefully and then the clear coat. I am so excited that I'm ding this by myself. I just hope that it comes out looking really good. Wish me luck!

painted interior has never been erotic to me. Never had a thing for it and never willl. If i want different color interior, i will reupholster it. Good luck with yours.

ps: when did painted interiors started to be a mod?

well excuse the hell outta me for being excited about doing something different for my car. I thought that this was posted under APPEARANCE...and the last time I checked modify meant to make a change to something that already exists in its current form. So therefore, if my dash was tan and now its blue, its been modified. But maybe that's just me. In any case, I'm still excited about doing it. Problem? suck it up. my car can be the fastest thing on the streets but if it doesnt look presentable...why bother?? in my opinion, dont knock it til you try it. i have had my interior re-done previously and gotten a whole lot more attention than a car with a little extra speed on it.

What's with you busting on all the noobs lately? Nothing wrong with making your car look nice. You've done some things to your car that have no affect on the performance.

yuck maroon is nasty. amber has maroon interior. i like the blue interior much better than that... but agree that black interior looks awesome, but tan and blue are at a tie...

You barely have it. Those Prelude seats replace most of the leather in the thing.

Thanks. I am not worried, I know what I want to do to my car, the way I feel as long as the title has my name on it and I pay the insurance, its my call, so everybody else is an outsider in my book. No room for negative forces in my life. The only negative I allow around my car is on the battery under the hood and the 12" subs in my trunk connected to my amp.

WTF? My whole back seat and the door panels are all leather. The only thing that's isn't is the carpet and the front seats. Which I was going to have reupholstered in leather, but mark never got back to me about it.

You know I'm just anxious to get my sexy beast running again and tearing up the streets. I can't wait to drag you this summer.

Get used to staring at my rear bumper.

Oh it will be running, cause you and Alex and possibly Praveen are going to help me get that new crank in without pulling the engine.

    Thanks derick.

And for you S.E.I, when i bought my car, it had painted lxi center console (the shifter area) and the paint was peeling off and what not. BEsides, from what i can see is that unless its painted right and the dash has been cleaned off the 16 years of grime and oil on it, the paint will not stick for long, let alone peel and fade under sunlight. Thats why i hate to pain my interior so i would much rather use vinyl on it to be more protective. BUt i know bitesize or some guy have done it good and even tho i love Dark's accord for the work, the interior is too flashy for me. Look at his pics and i hope u dont do it like his.
