engine swaps

I was wondering i want to do an engine swap in my 88 accord lx and i wanted to know what engine it the cheapest to put into my car which is a straight swap and will give me the best horsepower gains.

B16A with a supercharger (as someone else mentioned) would give you a very decent boost. For the B series swap you'll need special mounts from Place Racing. The engine will cost you about $1300 for a complete package (ECU, tranny, etc).

JDM B20A direct swap will not need any mounts except the B20A tranny mount. Cost less than the B16A with the same hp and more torque and you don't have to pay for mounts.
