you might wanna look at cutting to holes so they slide and you can maneuver it

    that is odd
try unbolting the other side so it's loose then put the other on and use a hammer if need to. I welded all the bars in place on the car so they should fit, just might need some encouragemenet.

well, try not tightening the bolts completely on one side so there's some wriggle room, and then on the other side grab the bars and push down and into the center of the car. I hope that helps. and btw, nice work on arranging those hoses and wires on the driver's side.

if you look closely, those bolts arent even on. The nut is basically on 3 threads or so. There is pratically no wiggle room.

Anyways maybe if i can bend the whole bar. How easy is it to bend the bar?

I want this on my car dammit!!!

Maybe if you jack the car up from the middle front the car would bend out a little bit to let you bolt it on? I don't know if it would bend this much but considering if I jack the front of my car up and go to open a door and it closes funny, I wouldn't be surprised if this did in fact work. Justin86, did you weld them with the car on the wheels or on jack stands or a floor jack (with all of the flex a unibody car has this might make a little of a difference)?

you have a point there, i have not tried with the car up on the jackstand..shouldve thought of that. Will try again tomorrow. Im too tired.

but if anyone near me with an LXi wants to test it if fit theirs, they are welcome to arrange some sort of meeting. At least I want to know if i can get my money back if it doesnt fit.

I would try jacking at the towing ring

Under the center cross beam, this should give you enough body flex to get the bar on.

Aren't you supposed the jack the car up when installing these things anyway? I didn't do it when I installed my DC Sports bar and it hasn't really made a difference in my handling. Maybe i should unbolt it and try jacking the middle up and put it back on.

i did not know that u need to jack the car up to install a strutbar. i can only think of it being constantly under axial load in this manner, unlike it being able to bolt up when its on the ground. hmm........ dont really know much about these installations, but hopefully i can get one and have it on my car.

as i understand it, it would help alot more if its "tight" while in the air, that way when you lower the car back on the ground the increased tension on the bar would cause it to be more ridgid (its pushing back harder) thast why some bars are adjustable in the ends or middle, you jack the car up, make it tight, and lower the car back down. most 1 pc non adjustalbe strut bars (if they aer going to work) should have to be insatlled with the car in the air...

good luck, and the strut bar looks good justin... how about a NW deal for a set them, how much are you charging these days?

    Thanks for the help!

I should've thought of jacking it up while unbolted. The strut bolts fell out of the chassis and I slipped the bar onto the circle in the middle and then put the bolts back in with a nice hammer. while lowering it slowly onto the ground matching up the holes again. Haven't tried the bar out yet but will soon once the rain dissapears.

    Here are the finish pics!

you guys have to realize how hard it is to make stuff in your spare time. Patience is a virtue my friend. Justin is a good dude, and i'd vouch for him.

In his defense, he spent a good amount of time making the header and exhaust for my car so all ya'll will have to wait a bit longer..

hey man no worries! I paid for my bar in December and I got it 2-3months later. I understand his time limits him from doing everything at once. I was just glad it came without much trouble! Thanks for the bar justin!

after a couple of days driving with it, I must say..it feels alot better! The car seems to have a quicker turn in. Body feels more straight with less roll but not too significant as the sway bar installs I did half a year ago. I was suprised at the bar changing the car's handling enough to even feel a difference.

Thanks Justin86 for making these bars! Definitely one of the products I bought that is great and wonderful.
