EGR Valve please help

I have a 89 LX-i and the ecu has been giveing out a code 6 which to the best of my knowlage is the egr valve right?

i was gonna replace it but autozone wants like $170 for it.

is there any way to clean or repair it so that the engine wont stumble?

*edit autozone wants $198.99 for it (2 dollars less than what i paid for the car)

code 6 is not EGR. it is ECT, or coolat temperature sensor.
