Is it the Trans? or my differential?

Ok, so i bought an 89 acoord lxi, and i've had it for a week or too, and last night when i got to work, it started acting up....

When i start from a dead stop, the car seems to loose grip with something. When i shift out of first gear, it slips, then drives fine after that, but while driving down the road, all the sudden the wheel will start to pull to the right pretty good it will do that for a while then stop. and repeat after every time i get out of first gear. And i shift fine so i'm pretty sure its not the tranny, but I really don't know....Please HELP!!

A slipping clutch is usually first noticed when cruising at high speed in high gear. Starting with the brakes sounds like a great idea though.
