I noticed as i was taking off my calipers the disk brakes slid off or around on the 4 studs for the tires... this is on my corolla. I never had it happen on my accord.

what do you mean the disc brakes slid off or around the 4 studds for the tires?
It is possible for the brake disks to slide off of the studs. On most 3Gs there are two retaining screws that keep the disk in place. You Corrola might not have these so when you took the calipers off, the disks were able to move freely on the studs. Sometimes the disks can be frozen to the hub by rust preventing them from coming off.

yea there should be screws holding the rotors on the hub.
I'm your local R&D nut. Fabracting, welding, tuning and breaking my stuff so you don't have to.
I don't remember if toyota have screws holding in the rotor, but most hondas have something holding it to the hub.
As long as the caliper is holding it in place, its all good.

My subie doesn't have any screws to hold the rotor to the hub.... personally, I think it's stupid and pointless. There's absolutely no reason to have them.
Bolting the wheel on is enough to keep the rotor in place. I guess Honda didn't want the rotor flopping all over the place when you take a wheel off.
No projects. Life consumes my time and money.
phew, well thats a relief. thanks for the help guys.
