2nd annual MD meet

I've talked to a few members who attended the meet last year at the track in Boonsboro, MD. They said they'd be interested in another meet. Some discussion was had about where to have the meet and the track seems to be a popular place again. HostileJava and I should be able to run our cars this time unlike last year.

So we have decided to have the meet at Mason Dixon Dragway again. This will be on Saturday June 25th. You guys have plenty of time to request off work, etc. Everyone is welcome to take their car on the track and get times. It is a full 1/4 mile strip. If you'd like to throw in more suggestions of where to go instead of the track, your input would be greatly appreciated. Last years meet came together rather nicely with 8 3g's and about 20 members there. I'd like to see a similar turnout this year.

Don't forget to make sure everyones informed of the track rules and regs. Didn't you guys have a few people who werent allowed to run last time?

Yeah and we'll have more then one member actually dragging. It would be nice if they let us run against each other, I think last year it was just whoever you came up against in line. It was fun last year and yeah steve I'm gonna push the site, here's some pics from last year:

oh yeah, the rules.
1. You much wear long pants and long sleave T-shirt or shirt.
2. if you are running faster than 13.99s you must have a helmet.
3. Bring money, since it cost to run. I think it was $15 last time. but i may be wrong. just bring $40 just in case.

Good idea. The rules are basically simple. No shorts or tank tops are allowed if you are racing. I'm going to bring a pair of pants along just to put on while racing. Also, if your car is faster than 13.99, you need a helmet.

James, I think they'll line us up against each other. Last year, they lined Alex and Sharky up next to each other but had to pull Sharky cause he had shorts on so Alex ran alone.

Bring it. I want to see the numbers you put down. I invited a guy with a Civic so it doesn't have to be a 3g.

Oh well, the meet is like how long away. I'm sure I can fix it. Just no more changes Mr. Organization!
