could sway bar bushings cause this noise?

I have been getting a strange noise out of my honda the last couple of weeks and I have it in the air today and I noticed that the sway bar on the passenger's side is so wore out it looks like the bar is hitting the underside of the frame.Could this be causing me problems?thanks for your help

Yes. Spray it with white lithium grease til you have time to replace it, it should quiet it up a bit.

I ordered some new ends today and they will be here in the morning. When accelerating on the highway over 55 the whole front end of the car starts to vibrate. But when i hit the brakes real hard and then reaccelerate the noise is gone.Anybody have any ideas? It seems to be coming more from the pass side

have you checked the rest of your suspension while you were under there? ball joints, tie rod ends, a-frame bushings, and of course the rest of the sway bar bushings. they all coordinate with each other. and the actual brakes may be causing some of the vibration as well, might wanna check those out. hope every thing goes well!

    Thanks for all the help

i replaced both outer tie rod ends they were shot. Both axels are about 25000 miles old.Everything else looked pretty good,I even took the calipers apart and grease the slides. The sway bar end links are completley shot on the passenger side and it looks like they have been rubbing on the frame

No they sound fine when turning.I think I am going to have a shop check it out and get a free estimate then do the work myself.Do you think one of my rotor being warped could cause this problem?thanks again for the help

possily, but it shouldnt make a differece on the handling of the car when not using the brakes unless your calipers are grabing. have you bled your brakes?
