    b18 turbo

    hey.. im from australia so hard to get some local info.. does anyone know of a good import comapnt for engines to perth WA?? im wanting a b18 out of an integra type R.. got a mechanic ready to do the swap with a turbo kit.. also whats the best turbo setup for a b18?? good thing is all free albour and respray aswell..

    dont bother getting a type r motor. id suggest a b18a, b18b or a b20b, upgrade the head a lil and slap a turbo

    any B series engine you get, you'll have to spend the money on internals to do so. You'll need low comp pistons, better rods and you'll have to sleeve the block as well.

    are you in australia or washington, i'm confused. ?

    My buddy has a really nice setup with a t3/t4 hybrid on his b18
    He's running 7psi on stock internals; yes, he knows this is killing the engine; that's why he's building a sleeved block so he can run either 15psi or 7psi depending on what he's doing.
    NX, I think he means Western Australia...

    Get a B18A or B18B. You can run up to 14 psi with good tuning on the stock internals.
    No projects. Life consumes my time and money.

    I'd probably get a B20B block and slap on a B16A head if I were to go turbo on a B series engine.

    B20's have the weakest cylinder walls of all of them. You should really sleeve them if you plan to boost or run high compression N/A.

    b18

    ok cool, cheers for the info i decided not to go type r engine and just work on a b18.. i got a little money saved up but gonna get everything done at once so we can take the egnine out and get sprayed.. not sure what coulour yet. gonna be a sleeper just with some nice 16" and lowered a touch and a excuast.. it will loke a bit like that 2 door accord on this site that has the b20a turbo well is working on it and a nice intercooler on it..
