    4x100 to 4x114.3 Conversion & What Offset

Okay heres the deal: One of my bro's friends had a Ae86 corrola i think(i suk at toyotas) that he used for some amateur drifting. well he's leaving for the army when he turns 18 this month and he's selling all of his stuff. He sold his car to some guy but the guy didnt want the wheels. they're SSR 15x6.5(front) 15x7(rear) wheels w/ a black mesh and a badass polished lip. So now two ?'s that ive searched already for and i came up with about ten million results so i figure im better off just making a new thread.
1.) The wheels are 4x114.3 and the accord is obviously 4x100. Im also aware that the 90+ accords are also 4x114.3. is there any way to do a conversion with this? I've done a 4 to 5lug before on integra's but thats easy cuz theres a 5lug version of the same model. Is this easy/cheap to do?
2.) Assuming the above is possible, im now faced with the wheel fitment issue. The front has zero offset and the rear has -10 offset. Im using my stock suspension but with plans to lower about 2 inches in the near future. is this at all possible? or is the offset just too ridiculous?

hope someone can help me and please no flaming ive already searched and whatnot so dont tell me to do that.

    -Joe

The old RWD Corollas were 4x114.3 just like old Datsun Z cars. You can find adapters that will let you use that lug pattern on your car, but that offset is far too extreme for a FWD car.

That will never fit... even if you find a way to convert to 4x114... that offset is much much too low, they will never clear your fenders.

I have 4X114 in the rear. I had an ebay deal gone bad and for some reason, the guy shipped 2 wheels with the wrong bolt pattern. I ended up using 90 Accord hubs (machined to fit the 86 drum) and 86 Accord drums which were custom machined to fit the 4X114 bolt pattern.

Those are actually panasports i believe.

Did it take a lot of work?... and do you think it would be hard to do the front?

I honestly don't see a huge advantage to the swap, but its kinda cool to know there is the possibility. One cool swap would be 95? spec ITR hub, brake conversion with those wheels too.

Well, it cost me about $250CAD to get it done. The hub only needed to be shaved down a bit but I had to pay alot for them to mount up the drums right with some sort of a jig so they can drill the holes properly centered. I think the big hole in the middle needed to be made wider as well so the 90 hub can fit. I had no choice at the time because no one carried the wheels I bought anymore. I ended up buying 2 more of the Neepers on Ebay so I have a full set of the right bolt pattern so eventually, I will put it back to stock and sell the machined drum and hub if anyone wants it.

As for the fronts, it would have been more work to convert so I just focused on converting the rears. I thought about getting the stock front hub redrilled at the 4X114 bolt pattern and getting the same done on the disk. But for the 86/87 with the smaller hub and disk brakes, there wasn't enough material on the hub to safely get it machined. It MIGHT work on an 88/89 EXi/LXi/SEi but I never looked into it.

i don't think the front 4g hub would work unless maybe you swapped the sub frame also. the part of the hub where the tie rod end mounts to is at a much different height. the mount to the upper arm is also taller.

the one hub swap that i think might be worth while is the 88-89(and 87 coupe) legend. it is almost exactly the same as the 3g, but with the 4x114 bolt pattern. it also uses an 11" rotor and the same calipers as the accord lx-i/se-i.
