New Clutch??

Hey all, I got another problem. Why is it that when I'm drivin along in 2nd or 3rd gear, and whenever I get the rpms above 4000, that when i push in the clutch pedal it feels like it doesn't disengage smoothly, like it sticks together or jumps or somethin. Should it be one smooth motion, or do i need a new clutch?

New clutch is needed only when you are in gear and stomp the gas and u see the rpms go up, but the car not going as fast as it should. But if it does what you say, it might be heated up too fast and might have been worn out improperly. Have u adjusted ur clutch every oil change? Its recommended that for a daily driver, it needs to be checked for adjustment and right play every 3 to 4 thousand miles.

check yer' engine mounts, that can make the car feel weird while shifting.
if they are good then it probably is clutch or pressure plate related

So how would I go about checking and adjusting my clutch? I don't know a lot about cars, and i didn't know that you even could adjust the clutch, lol. Is there a guide on this site somewhere or somethin? and, uhm... where are the engine mounts? lol, thanks guys.
