    Small Weekend Project

So i had the week off last week from Wyotech so I came home and did a couple .....little projects.

So I finished the Prelude accord tranny and put it in. it leaks once from the passenger seal and then once from the driver seal. so i had to replace both AGAIN. finally got it done with no leaks. now it seems to be running well.

Then I had to test is out after I got it back in!

in front of my moms house.

so couple weeks ago my car was broken into and everything stolen so i decided i needed to added in electronic locks, and i figured since i was doing that i might as well do the power windows and mirrors to go along. so I did. and have way through that i decided i should redo my interior again. so I reupholstered my doors in Velvet Velour and dyed the front seats black. then painted the dash black. and a couple other things. I have everything in the car but havent really taken and pictures of it all together yet so I will get those soon.

This is the textured Velour I used on the upper parts of all the door panels

    partially done

and I will prolly take the rest of the pictures today when i go out.....

yeah man, more details about the tranny. if it can peel out with heavy 18 inch wheels, then it must be good! let us know!

hahahah fuck its scratches second with those 18's on.....

The tranny feels pretty good. the main thing i dont like about it is that 5gear is at a higher RPM then the stock accord. but its not as bad as the teg. after rebuilding it I dont crunch any gears and its a breeze to put into fifth. so I am pretty happy with it.

Caleb, when you want to bring your car down with materials I will do your car. no problem. after I do some more I will start charging. so far after showing it off at school, i have had several people ask me what i am doing at school?!? lol i could be starting a business or something. i dont think im that good.......yet.

what gears did you actually swap out from the prelude tranny? wouldn't it be easier to use the whole prelude tranny?

I swapped 1st - 4th but that was because 5th was completely destroyed. I showed it in a previous post as i was tearing them down. It would be easy just to use the whole lude tranny, but i also wanted the experience in building manual trannys. and Id say for a first try i did a pretty decent job!

yeah that's true, plus you got the peace of mind that the tranny is in perfect order cus you know what's in it. versus taking a lude tranny and swapping it in and hoping for the best that you got a good one.

yeah man i hear ya. my car is far from done. no paint yet and i still have to do some more prep work. it's all about how long till i get fortunate enough again to get some time and money. i have yet to mess with the performance besides intake, header, and exhaust. i'm really looking into a b-series swap. but for now, i would probably do a 5 spd swap for the a20 just to get by till i can start that engine swap project cus i know that's gonna be another long year.

I drove it home a weekend or two ago to my mom house and the power steering blew up on me. the cracked wide open right were the fitting bolts to the pump. pumped PS fluid all over the inside of the engine bay. Got that replaced though so other than that its going good. just trying to get new rims again.

Sorry to know about what happened to your car, Mario. Other than that, your works are great as usual.
