    New Accord *Now with pics*

Hey guys, just thought id share my new beauty with you all, its an 87 Lxr-si Stock as a rock with a real clunky gearbox lol!!!

Picked it up from a car yard for $1,000, A/C, P/s, P/w, Sunroof, cruise control and all that sorta gear, buit it does have slight accident damage on the left hand side. i bought it with 218xxx on the clock and seems to be doing alright, spent a little bit on it gettin some new tyres and stuff like that, but runs nice and has a SWEET NOTE, Current color is dark blue, with black trimmings, Honda Alloys, and the normal plush/Velour Interior

    Mods planned:
Cannon (3 inch with 2.5 tip) 2.5 inch system from cat back
    Pod filter
    Bigger injectors and components
    extractors
    some nice 16's or 17s
    lowered
    black paint with gold fleck
    darkest legal tint

I think that bout sums it up neways ill upload some pics. hope u like like!!

Ok i cant attach images, i may need some help with that, Thanx Guys

Heres a link if the pics dont work guys, Cheers

nice car man, yah 2.25 is the best size piping. plus on these cars, exhaust is saved for sound if you don't do other extensive performance mods. exhaust will yield a bit of power, but still relatively low and slow up against civics and other hondas with swaps and watnot.

btw. send the spoiler this way!!! yay!!!

    Talking

Man the trunk lid is pretty a pretty sweet stock piece. Nice LXR emblems and trunk lip/spoiler. You Aussies get the good shit like the Europeans and JDM stuff. We get all the sloppy second designs. I got some emails from an Aussie wanting some help with his 84' Accord. He wanted to rally and I told him I give him some carb conversion stuff for the G2 Accord. Nice find on your Accord BTW!!!

b20a is DOHC, and a a20a is SOHC.

Well, I'm not really sure what you plan on gaining with bigger injectors unless you like running rich. Welcome to the board, BTW. You'll have fun here.

Yeah guys its slow as!! but what can you do, does anyone have any stuff you can do yourself to make it faster, im thinking of putting on a pod filter or doing a B.F.I, however the air box on these is weird so dont know what gains im gonna get, any other suggestions, for stuff to do at home, or cheap performance mods

Look in the performance FAQs thread for anything performance related.

So how much longer till you drop the "P" plate

Nice accord... It's still good even without the DOHC.

Didn't know that Accords in Australia had JDM tails. Looks good though not a bad deal for a grand.

the valve (rocker) cover can probably be fixed without much ado. Take a torque wrench and set it to 7 pounds (not sure what that is in Nm... anyone know?).
Loosen the 3 valve cover nuts, and slowly hand tighten them until they're just not loose anymore.
Then use the torque wrench and set em to 7 pounds.

If that doesn't fix it, then you need a new valve cover gasket. They're not too expensive.
