MUGEN JDM B20a pics!!! 56K BEWARE!!!

I just found this on the internet and thought it was pretty cool so i decided to show you guys!

i saw that motor and then scrolled down to see that it was a B20a not a b20a5 or anything else but a b20a! Then i thought this is awesome! Is this the same exact motor as the b20a that we put in our accords. Im preety sure it is!

No shit, Honda needs to produce a V-8 RWD car, think about it, the thing would drive like a budget-Ferrari. High-revving, small displacement, 100/hp per liter with Honda engine build quality? I know I'd abandon the 5.0 scene for a Honda V-8. As for that B20A, that looks like it could be for a drag car, could be a one-off motor, I don't know really, just speculating here.

Thats insane, I agree with the B20 being a drag car motor because the intake manifold is crazy, and the header looks like its made to come out under the front end... but whats with the V8's, I'll buy one of those and throw it in my Ranger, and not worry about getting my Zex kit...

Well if you want a racing V-8 for your Ford why not use a Ford Cosworth?

Umm, sorry but those are individual throttle bodies. See the injectors sitting on the mani?

That b20a isnt the 3rd gen accord b20a but the "other" b20a, right?

The intake manifold faces forward to get ram air.... also it is aerodynamic which meand it sticks out of the car's body...

    I love that valve cover.

but what really makes my eyes sparkel is dem headers.... sight.... <3 <3 <3

lol, "push to pass system" sounds like a vtec type thing... but with 800 hp there is probably no need for it.

Did anyone mention to them once and for all that this B20A isn't the same as the one from the lude... I know a couple of people were having trouble with that idea.

are you talking about the people that confuse the b20a5 in the 88-91 preludes with the JDM b20a, and think that their just the same motor with a differnt name?

The B20A pictured looks to be the JDM Accord B20A if you ask me. The reason why i think it is because of the front mount setup. Other than that it was hard for me to tell but even the distributor looks just like mine. The serial # threw me off but i think that is the real deal accord b20 from what i can see. That is a sick setup and i would love to see it in person.

i noticed that too, i was trying to picture a race car with an intake sticking out the drivers side. i cannt see if it will look sick or stupid, either way i bet it halls ass in a RWD car.

See the difference in the castings where the serial numbers are? At a glance it looks like the valve cover might fit though.

But isn't that to just to adapt it to the transmission... otherwise I think it's still a B20A

I'm willing to bet that motor is intended for some form of formula car or somehting similar. Just the way the duct box sits on the intake and where the header exits puts that picture in my mind. Its also got a drysump and one hell of a tiny clutch/flywhel.
