    Loud Muffler ???

I want a really loud muffler, but I don't know what to get. Anybody have any recommendations? Please let me know, I want to get one very, very soon. Right now I have a glass pack and I'm not sure exactly what the hell that does.

It's supposed to give you a nice low tone to the exhaust.
This is what I have on my ride now...

A custom cat back (stock) w/ a performance resonator as a replacement for the muffler w/ a 2" SS tip!!! cut on a 45 deg. angle, looks and sounds awesome!!!! Trust me!!
(if ya like low tone like me)

You can always try different mufflers when you do it/or go to a muffler shop. That's what I did.

    Hope this helps.

oh, yeah. the duel DTM mufflers are also a good choice if you like em loud.

They actually let you listen to each muffler before you pick one? That's awesome.

    hey kennycm,
im not sure if you got your muffler yet but most of us enjoy the DYNOMAX SUPERTURBO. i got mine installed about a week ago and it gives a nice low tone. but the guy at the muffler shop told me that if you get 2.25 inch pipping, the sound of your exhuast will be louder than just a muffler.
    happy hunting!

well if u really want it loud, why even have a muffler? hehehe just kidding. there is something called SUPERTRAP. sells for $150 a piece. the only adv about this is that it has no muffler. its like a straight pipe with disks on the end of it to tune your sound and adjust the torque. my friend has it and its pretty good on sound. i dont like it cause it looks ricy and i am sure the dude at the inspection stating will be pissted looking at your supertrap and no hole to stick his tester in.

glass packs are loud. they crakle if you hit 4000 0r 5000 rpm then let off on the gas and they are sooo loud. i dont have a cat or resonator and my new pipe is 3 inch in diameter. the pack presure is so low that the exaust sounds broken at low RPMs but when you get to 6000 it sounds like an indy car. a white turboed civic is runnin two Ractive DTM mufflers. they have a black body with stainless tips. when he floors it, its loud like a harley. or get a straight pipe(no muffler) and a butterfly valve in the exaust to limit sound when you want quiet and open it when you want loud. Arospeed makes them but you cound get them at a hardware store or sumthin. those are just somesuggestions.

i don't see the point in spending money on a 'muffler' that is loud enough to shake windows, they should call them 'amplifiers' or 'megaphones'
i drove my car open pipe for a day and it had my head buzzing.

Get a muffler like my dual one. That thing was so loud just with that, and then I added headers, and intake. Just get the dual muffler, its a racerdesign. Just go to www.racerdesign.com
