    General brake Question

Ok I have searched a million brake threads to try and figure out the answer to my question so if it has already been answered I am sorry in advance . What is the difference in brakes, between years and models IE: 86-87, 88-89, LX, DX, LXi. I am looking to upgrade my Brakes, but the only drilled or slotted rotors I can find are for the LX and DX or for the 88-89. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

if I remember correctly, 86-87 LXi has the same brake size as 88-89 DX/LX and the biggest ones of them all are 88-89 LXi/SEi.

does that mean that the 86-87 dx/lx are the same size as the 86-87 LXI, because the posted thread dosent explain that. I searched through many threads and came up with nothing. I plan on doing the rear disk swap when I can find one somewhere, so all I have to worry about is the fronts .

All 86-87 Accords have the same brake setup. The 88-89 DX and LX have the same as the 86-87's. The 88-89 LX-i and SE-i have the larger front rotors with the SE-i having the rear discs of course.
No projects. Life consumes my time and money.

Thanks that is exactly what I was looking for. There should be a thread stickied to the top of the FAQ brake section.
